Sandy Johal-Gill
(Senior Physiotherapist)
HCPC No: PH63137 CSP No: 67097
Once Sandy qualified in 2002 from the University of East London, she started working at Derby Hospitals Foundation Trust in 2002 where she worked as a junior physiotherapist. She then progressed to a senior physiotherapist in 2005.
Whilst working in the NHS, Sandy undertook numerous training from specialists and seniors and attended numerous additional qualifying courses in such therapies as acupuncture, manipulations, dynamic stability for the body, ergonomics and complex injuries. Sandy worked in lower limb rehabilitation for three years making her knowledge on lower limb injuries and post op care extensive.
Sandy also undertook work in private practice in 2004 part-time as well as working in the NHS in order to gain extensive knowledge in sporting injuries. Her experience was furthered by from working at Virgin Active in Derby and Sheffield. She became a full time physiotherapist and a clinical manager at PhysioDirect Sherwood Ltd in 2008 treating whiplash injuries, sports injuries and NHS patients (with a variety of conditions).
What Sandy noticed over the years was the lack of community physiotherapy for patients and long waiting lists for that service. This meant that patients with mobility restrictions, injuries and medical conditions were unable to attend physiotherapy clinics. This where is her passion arose for trying to meet patients’ needs at their homes and offers this service in the Nottingham and Derby area.
Sandy has a great personality and is a wonderful physiotherapist – it’s well worth a visit to her if you need a physiotherapist, and her amazing positive outlook is a true asset to any treatment she provides.

Louise Sarah Murphy
(Sports Therapist)
Dip RM (MSM) Adv Dip MT (MSM) Adv Dip Sports Massage Injury & Rehabilitation Fitness Trainer award Premier Global.
Louise started her career in Massage Therapy in 2001 at the Midland School of Massage and Manipulative therapy (MSM) and gained Diplomas in Remedial Massage, Manipulative therapy and Sports Massage Injury and Rehabilitation.
Louise strongly believes massage is a wonderful technique that can help in lots of different ways to improve a personal physical and emotional well-being. Louise has worked for many years with Triathletes to treat and prevent their injuries using massage as well as giving advice on exercises to increase flexibility and strengthen their bodies.
She also enjoys using massage for relaxation and stress relief. Tension can very easily build up from work related problems e.g. poor posture at a computer, increasing workloads etc and massage can very quickly restore calm and balance.
Louise also incorporates pressure points, stretching, gentle massage, mobilisations, heat/cold therapy and home care advice to ease off muscular tension and pain.
Louise also qualified as a Zero Balancer in 2007. This is a type of manual therapy devised by Frederick Smith, MD, a doctor of osteopathy and medicine in the 1970s. Recent studies into the effects of Zero Balancing have shown high reduction of stress, anxiety and tension.
Including all the above Louise also runs 2 Tai Chi classes weekly for arthritis and falls prevention.
